Warwickshire Vision is the trading name of Warwickshire Association For The Blind. Established as a grass roots organisation in 1911, we are today a small charity supporting over 3,500 visually impaired people throughout the county. We aim to ensure that people who are blind or partially sighted are active, supported, included, informed, connected and are able to live independent lives.
Martyn can give you and your business practical advice on dealing with visually impaired customers, making premises and services more accessible, supporting visually impaired employees, and a range of other issues to make your business more inclusive and positive about disability.
Disabled consumers have significant spending power; in the UK the “Purple Pound” spent by over 14 million disabled customers is estimated at over £250 billion annually. So, creating a truly inclusive and accessible business has a positive income benefit as well as aligning with the requirements of the Equalities Act 2010.
