Spa and afternoon tea package launched thanks to Coventry venue collaboration

Afternoon tea at one of Coventry’s most magnificent historic visitor attractions has become even more luxurious after teaming up with an award-winning neighbour.

St Mary’s Guildhall, which dates back to 1342, has partnered with Mana Spa at The Wave to launch Coventry city centre’s first afternoon tea and spa experience.

Visitors will get to enjoy a 30-minute back massage, facial, manicure or pedicure as well as two hours to access the spa’s facilities complete with robe, towel and slippers, before indulging in sweet afternoon tea at Tales of Tea, the atmospheric restaurant located in the oldest part of the guildhall.

The offer is available to be booked Monday to Friday via the Mana Spa website.

Mana Spa, which opened in 2019, is inspired by Maori culture, with mana representing a source of healing and spiritual energy.

It was named Spa of the Year in the 2023 English Hair & Beauty Awards, and was a Best City Spa finalist in the 2023 Good Spa Awards.

The Drapers sweet afternoon tea features a mixture of finger sandwiches including roast chicken and tarragon mayonnaise, egg mayonnaise, and mature Croxton Manor cheese & red onion marmalade, as well as sweets including Biscoff crumb cheesecake, carrot cake slices, chocolate praline brownie mille feuille, scones and Eccles cakes.

Jayne Pyatt, Marketing Manager at St Mary’s Guildhall, which is operated by No Ordinary Hospitality Management, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching this collaboration between two venues that are very special in their own ways, but together will provide a unique, high-quality experience in the heart of the city.”

Rachel Brooks, Spa Manager at Mana Spa, said: “The combination of pure relaxation and delicious food is a truly luxurious prospect and we are thrilled to be working with such an iconic city venue to add an extra-special layer to the Mana Spa experience.”
