There is another way! A way to get fit, and put on the pounds while losing the lbs.
Dust off the old hiking boots and take part in the annual St Basils ‘Hike for Homeless’.
This Summer, on Saturday 24th June the hike will take in the stunning hills of the Peak District. Pure Instagram fodder right there. Definitely on most hiker’s bucket list, you won’t want to miss this one.
Get sponsored by friends, family, and colleagues to take part in the challenge and raise money for a worthy cause while training and getting fit. Or better still get them to do it with you.
There’s a route for everyone, short, medium, and long. All the routes have stunning views of Mam Tor, Hope Valley, and Winnetts Pass.
St Basils help young people aged 16-25 stay out of homelessness and create a better future for themselves, one step at a time.
So, dust off those boots (or trainers), don the rucksack, complete with your favourite sandwiches, and put your best foot forward all in a good cause. Did we mention some great country pubs on route too!
