The official opening day event saw representatives from Momentic, who assisted participants interested in pursuing self-employment. The Salvation Army was also on hand to provide support with budgeting, financial calculations, and a life coaching program.
Meanwhile, the Serco team delivered training with assisted digital job clubs, interview skills and ‘how budgeting affects wellbeing’. Additionally, a self-employed participant showcased her holistic massage and spa business, offered staff tips on desk posture and hand and shoulder massages.
Operations Manager for the Coventry office, Moni Kular, said:“The event was an important opportunity for me and the team to showcase the wide range of in-house services we offer Restart Scheme participants, as well as highlighting the invaluable support we receive from the local community and other providers. It was a moment of unity, where everyone came together as one.
Additionally, I wanted to give back to frontline staff and prioritise their wellbeing. My vision has always been to create a one-stop shop to meet all the needs of our participants, helping them and their loved ones to lead better lives. None of this would have been possible without the incredible team that works alongside me in Coventry. We are on a shared mission to continue changing lives in the area.”
