The RSC today announce details of a new programme of specialist theatre tours, informative workshops and creative masterclasses.

Whether you’re looking to uncover the secrets behind the stage, mix up your perfect cocktail, or enrich your understanding of Shakespeare’s plays, these newly launched activities are perfect for those wishing to try something new in 2025.

Go behind the scenes

New to the RSC for 2025, the Scenic Workshop Tours allow audiences to explore the process of set and prop creation and watch skilled craftspeople bring a show to life. Visitors can also now book onto new Ghost Tours to explore areas usually off-limits after the theatre has closed whilst learning about the history of theatre superstition, supernatural sightings and ghostly effects on stage.

A taste of vegan indulgence
If you’re trying out veganism this January, our indulgent afternoon tea experience is 100% plant based and features a selection of savoury bites, freshly baked scones, and sweet treats. It can be enjoyed alongside a tea, coffee, or sparkling wine, all while soaking up the views of the River Avon in our Rooftop Restaurant.

  • Menu highlights: Tofu ‘egg’ mayonnaise sandwiches, Greek-style vegan feta tart and blood orange and chocolate cups

Master the art of cocktails
Elevate your night out by joining one of our Cocktail Masterclasses. Visitors to the rooftop restaurant can learn from expert mixologists how to craft classic cocktails and mocktails, design their own creation, and enjoy a selection of hot and cold snacks.

The Play’s The Thing
Shake up your usual routine and visit our free exhibition, The Play’s The Thing. Featuring 100 years of theatrical innovation, this exhibition is co-curated with local community groups, bringing fresh perspectives and exciting new stories. New highlights include the Player Queen costume from David Tennant’s Hamlet (2008) and the powerful spoken-word film Beyond the Borders.
