Keith said he believes more transport companies – particularly hauliers who are struggling at the moment – need to work in partnership with other companies to maximise their vehicles and storage assets and to help strengthen the industry as a whole against a volatile market.
Keith, who has worked in transport and logistics for more than 25 years, said: “I am keen to work with partners as and when needed – collaborating with companies that perhaps LTS hasn’t worked with before. The market is saturated and too many companies are struggling. But it’s all happened quickly as now they can’t fill their warehouses, whereas18 months ago it was a very different story.”
In his new role he will oversee the day-to day operations of the depot, developing strong working relationships with colleagues and customers and ensuring productivity, efficiency and the highest standards of customer service. He will also be focusing on other areas of the business where profits may be increased, such as reducing empty mileage.
Previously Keith had worked as Transport and Warehouse Director of Lockwood Haulage and National Development Manager of Palletforce.
Dave Hands, Managing Director of LTS Global Solutions said: “We believe Keith’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strive for excellence in our operations. We are confident that he will be a tremendous asset to our company.”
