The construction industry's future shines brightly as the prestigious Building The Future Awards 2023 is set to honour the outstanding achievements of young individuals under 30 in the construction industry.

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) supports this inaugural awards event. These awards are an incredible opportunity to spotlight rising stars and acknowledge their invaluable contributions to the industry's future.

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN and are submitted through the official Building The Future Awards website https://buildingthefutureawards.co.uk/nominate/. Industry professionals, mentors, colleagues, and the general public are encouraged to actively participate by nominating deserving candidates who have demonstrated exemplary skills, commitment, and passion in their respective roles. The nomination window will remain open until Friday, 21st July, allowing plenty of time to put forward individuals who embody the spirit of excellence, innovation, and dedication in the construction industry.

At the heart of the Building The Future Awards is recognising and celebrating outstanding accomplishments in various categories. From honouring the Apprentice/Trainee of the Year to highlighting the Role Model of the Year, Young Engineer of the Year, and numerous other categories, these awards serve as a platform to showcase young professionals' remarkable talents and valuable contributions throughout the industry.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of young professionals in driving innovation, progress, and sustainability within the construction sector, the Building The Future Awards has gained esteemed event supporters' unwavering support and recognition. The West Midlands Combined Authority, HS2, Birmingham City Council, UCB, The Home Group, and CITB have joined forces to acknowledge and empower the next generation of construction professionals, emphasising the significance of nurturing their talents and aspirations.

At the helm of this exceptional event, renowned media personality Ed James and CEO of The OM Group, Damini Sharma, will lend their expertise and contagious enthusiasm as hosts, guiding the evening's proceedings. A standout moment of the awards ceremony will be the inspiring keynote address by Andy Street, the Mayor of the West Midlands. The event, set to take place on Friday, 17th November, at Aston Villa FC, Holte Suite, promises to be a truly remarkable celebration of the incredible talent within the construction industry. Zoe Bennett is one of the Build the Future Awards' organisers and the visionary behind the esteemed MBCC Awards. She has earned recognition for her dedication to acknowledging excellence across all sectors of society, with a deep-rooted passion for showcasing the talents of the future generation. Zoe is working in partnership with Errol Lawson, the founder of Emerge Leadership UK CIC, who is recognised for establishing a prominent organisation specialising in leadership and personal development training. Driven by a solid commitment to empowering young people, Errol is dedicated to unlocking their full potential and equipping them with the necessary skills for success in the construction industry.
