Lee is one of five new starters with the company, which offers a range of commercial property services, in the space of 14 months as the firm continues to grow.
The former Cardinal Wiseman schoolboy joined the council as an apprentice in property management in 2008, going on to complete a distant learning degree before studying for his APC and qualifying as a chartered surveyor in 2018.
He rose to become the head of the commercial property investment portfolio team in 2022 but decided recently that it was time for a change and jumped at the opportunity to join Holt Commercial.
Lee said: “I am delighted to be joining Holt Commercial. It’s a well-established regional firm, which is known for achieving great success for its clients across the range of services it provides.
“Having worked closely with Holt Commercial over the years, I understand how they operate and know first-hand the fantastic level of service they provide.
“I can confidently say that I believe in the company ethos and personal touch that has stood it in great stead over many years, so when the opportunity arose to become part of the team it felt like the perfect career move.
“The commercial property market has proven its resilience, despite various unanticipated economic events over recent years and, of course, there will be many more challenges ahead for both landlords, tenants and the property industry as a whole.
“However, with the right mindset, understanding and creativity these challenges can be overcome and the best outcomes achieved for all those involved.
“Client care and trust are my main priorities, alongside providing a bespoke service tailored to the requirements of those who Holt Commercial represents.
“I really am looking forward to the fresh challenge that awaits and I can’t wait to get stuck in and add value!”
Lee will provide support with any commercial property and asset management related matters including re-letting, lease renewals, rent reviews, general lease advice and estate & building management.
Nick Holt, director of Holt Commercial, said it was a real coup to add Lee to the team.
He said: “We are thrilled to have Lee on board. We’ve worked with him in his previous role at Coventry City Council and that’s a relationship we will look to build on in the coming weeks, months and years.
“In the past 14 months we’ve added to the Holt Commercial team as we look to develop and grow and Lee is a key part of that strategy.”
