Coventry Building Society Arena has hosted a who’s who of pop and rock stars since it opened in 2005 and has put Coventry on the map as a premier destination for huge exhibitions and trade shows as well as live sport.
The Rolling Stones, Harry Styles, Coldplay, Rhianna, The Arctic Monkeys, The Spice Girls, P!NK, Take That, Florence and The Machine and Bon Jovi have all appeared at the award-winning venue.
The stadium is home to Coventry City football club and fans will get to see the first team dressing room, inside the tunnel and visit the media room where Mark Robins conducts his post-match press conferences.
The Lionesses’ game against Italy in March 2023 still holds the stadium bowl attendance record while the venue has also staged events as part of the London 2012 Olympics, 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2023 Billy Jean King Cup and Champions of Champions Snooker.
The tours will also shine a light on the heritage of the stadium and its ever-growing importance to the city of Coventry.
Guided tours of the 32,000-seater stadium, which is home to Coventry City Football Club, and the adjoining arena will take place at 10am and 12.30pm on Saturday, July 27 and Thursday, August 15, just days before the Sky Blues’ first home match of the new Championship season.
The tours will also feature Q&A and photo opportunities with special guests.
Mark O’Shea, Catering and Experience Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “These tours will offer football and music fans alike rare access to parts of the stadium that are usually off limits to the public.
“Guests can stroll down the same corridors as popstars Harry Styles and Alex Turner did before their recent sold out shows here, and Sky Blues supporters will be able to say they have sat exactly where Haji Wright puts on his kit!
“The tours are also a must for proud Coventrians who simply want to learn more about their city and its premier entertainments venue. We look forward to hosting you all!”
Following on from arrival refreshments, attendees will be treated to guided walks around the arena and stadium, including the home dressing room, dugouts, pitch and press room.
Ticket holders will be offered a 10% discount at the CCFC Club Shop for on the day purchases and a 20% discount in The Anecdote bar for on the day dining (excluding drinks). Admission will also include an official Arena Tour Lanyard and Pass.
Tour tickets are priced at £10 for over 18s and £6 for over 65s and children aged two to 17.
