Serving a combination of Spanish tapas - traditional small plates with a variety of dishes - and a fabulous selection of Spanish wines and beers, the lounge is designed to deliver the ultimate matchday experience for Coventry City Football Club fans this season.
The continental bar and dining area will also be open for major events and concerts at the venue and for corporate hire.
Coventry Building Society Arena has partnered with leading beer brand Mahou of Madrid to provide this new continental culinary offering, located in the hospitality area in the west stand.
During the season, the menu will feature anything from beef and pork meatballs and white fish croquettes to Iberico ham and chargrilled chorizo.
Those with a sweet tooth will also be catered for with Choux buns, Basque cheesecake and dark chocolate panna cotta all set to debut during the campaign.
Visitors to the arena got a first glimpse of the Iberian eatery at Tuesday night’s friendly between the Sky Blues and Premier League club Everton.
Paul Michael, Managing Director of Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We’re always looking at game-changing ways to enhance our offering to Coventry City supporters and this seemed like a really nice way of doing that.
“The Mahou Experience will take the Arena’s matchday provision to another level and is sure to be a huge win among Sky Blues fans; particularly during the winter months when a sun-kissed splash of Spanish culture will really hit the spot.”
The Budweiser Brewing Group is helping to deliver The Mahou Experience, which will be open to all matchday visitors, under its ongoing partnership with the Arena.
Peter Harrison, On Trade IFT Director at Budweiser Brewing Group, said: “We are excited to bring The Mahou Experience to life.
“This premium dining lounge offers fans an unparalleled matchday experience, combining the rich flavours of Spanish tapas with the authentic Beer of Spain, Mahou.
“As the UK distributor of Mahou, Budweiser Brewing Group is proud to be part of this innovative venture that elevates the hospitality offerings at the arena.
“We look forward to fans enjoying this unique blend of Spanish culinary excellence and football excitement, whilst enjoying the Five Star Taste of Madrid, Mahou.”
