The event is limited to 40 covers and will take place on 21st September in the hotel’s Stuart Restaurant — with tickets costing £90 per person. For those seeking an elevated experience, an optional wine pairing will be available.
Perfectly coinciding with British Food Fortnight, Simon is set to embrace traditional flavours that embody the essence of British cuisine. Celebrating the richness and diversity of Devon-sourced ingredients, the culinary journey commences with a unique seafood starter — setting the tone for the rest of the menu.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Simon, who will explain the inspiration behind each dish. His esteemed culinary path began at just fourteen when he worked alongside his father, who was also a top chef. After tenures at prestigious hotels, he extended his accolades globally, with award wins in South Africa, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Simon’s journey reached a significant milestone when he was selected as a Roux Scholar, training at Martín Berasategui's Basque restaurant. Back in England, Simon refined his approach at distinguished restaurants and his remarkable career continues — with his current restaurant, The Elephant, having maintained its Michelin star since 2005.
