AlphaQuad takes on the Tempo Events Trial Marathon
Early in the morning on May 5th 2024, AlphaQuad’s own Emily took on the Tempo Events Trial marathon, a challenging 27-mile cross-country route through the Cotswolds, in memory of her friend, Jen. In doing so, she raised over £1,000 for two incredible local hospices, The Shakespeare Hospice and The Myton Hospice.
These organisations heavily rely on community generosity to deliver end-of-life and palliative care. Together, they need to raise £13.5 million annually to continue providing their services free of charge, helping individuals facing terminal illnesses and their families from diagnosis to end-of-life.
Running through the Cotswolds’ rugged terrain tested Emily’s endurance, but her many months of training paid off, as she took the ladies second place. By participating in this event, Emily turned her loss into support for the community, aiding services that offer dignity and comfort to patients and their families at unimaginably critical and difficult times.
