The charity is teeing-up to host a golf tournament on July 4 to mark its seventh anniversary, and organisers are calling for local businesses to swing into action to help make it a huge success.
Whether looking to participate or become a sponsor, the Zoe’s Place Anniversary Golf Day provides the perfect platform for businesses and individuals to show their support for this worthwhile cause.
Held at the Coventry Golf Club in Finham, the tournament starts at 12pm with a bacon butty and coffee before shotgun starts – with the day culminating in a two-course culinary treat and a prize-giving ceremony.
Teams of four will need to complete the course in a Stableford format – based on a 90 per cent handicap – with the best two scores to count on each hole. The cost of entering the contest is £300 per team.
Organised by Zoe’s Place Business Group, the event also provides opportunities for businesses to raise their profile as well as awareness of the charity through numerous sponsorship packages – ranging in cost from £100 to £500.
These opportunities vary from sponsoring a hole, scorecard or drinks buggy on the day. Main sponsors are Contechs and Inspire Insurance.
Chairman of the Zoe’s Place Business Group Peter Jarvis and Managing Director of Contechs is confident this year’s tournament will be a great success.
“We are incredibly lucky to have so much support for Zoe’s Place across Coventry and Warwickshire,” he added. “Golf days are hugely popular and we are sure that this one will create great deal of interest from businesses, individuals, families and even groups of friends – all eager to take part.
“The day offers the perfect opportunity to network, while enjoying a fun and competitive game of golf. At the same time, every penny raised from this popular event will go towards Zoe’s Place – an incredible charity in the heart of Coventry.”
Cash raised from the tournament will help the Midlands only baby-specific hospice continue to provide 24-hour palliative and respite care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Its facilities include a multi-sensory suite, hydrotherapy bath, soft play room, parents’ suite and sensory garden.
Peter added: “Zoe’s Place is such an important charity, providing a vital service to many families across the region. Without fundraising activities such as the forthcoming golf day, the hospice would not be able to continue – the reality of which is devastating for so many people.
“We hope that as many people as possible will get involved to make it a highly successful day of fundraising and ensure it becomes an annual event on the Zoe’s Place calendar.”
