Wasps’ stars Jake Cooper-Woolley, Lima Sopoaga and Tom West have lent their support to the race, which is sponsored by the club’s legal partner, Wright Hassall, and organised by the Leamington Round Table.
Fly-half Sopoaga said: “The Wright Hassall Regency 10k is a fantastic race not just for experienced runners but for newcomers too. The route is really scenic and I am sure those who complete it will get a real sense of achievement.
“Our partnership with Wright Hassall has given us great introductions to people in business across Leamington and we are enjoying being able to offer tips as to how you can look after your health and fitness in and around work.
“The Regency 10k would be a great opportunity for businesses to bring staff together and help boost activity.
“With only a few weeks to go until race day I would encourage as many people as possible to sign up.”
The Regency 10k, which has been sponsored by Wright Hassall since its inception, has raised more than £350,000 since it began and is one of Leamington Round Table’s major calendar events.
Nathan Hinks, a commercial property solicitor at Wright Hassall, said: “The Wright Hassall team is deep into its preparation for the Regency 10k.
“Taking part is a big part of our social calendar and we are proud of the relationship we have built with the community through this race over the years.
“I would like to thank the Wasps’ players for showing their support as we make a final push to ensure as many people as possible are signed up to take part.”
Gary Craine, Chairman of the Leamington Round Table, said: “The day is getting closer and we have had a really positive year in terms of sign-up figures but there are still spaces.
“We can’t wait to welcome runners on the day: it is our 15th instalment this year so it is sure to be a special one.”
