Leamington Spa based Wright Hassall has achieved positive results in the Legal 500 index as well as the latest Chambers and Partners rankings, with a range of lawyers singled out for praise by clients.
Both directories are aimed at buyers of legal services and are both acknowledged for the quality of their research.
A particular success for Wright Hassall was its performance in the banking and finance category, where the company moved up two places from the fifth tier to the third tier in the Legal 500 and was listed as a ‘recognised practitioner’ in Chambers.
Christopher Jones, a partner in the firm’s banking and finance team, was singled out as a ‘next generation lawyer’ after advising on deals such as Warwick Independent Schools Foundation’s £28 million development finance for a new campus.
He said: “I am delighted to be acknowledged by both the Legal 500 and Chambers but I’m especially pleased with the team’s improved ranking – it’s a well-deserved accolade, reflecting the progress we’ve made in last 12 months and is a tribute to everyone’s hard work.”
In the Chambers and Partners’ annual listing, Wright Hassall was ranked as a band one firm regionally for its agricultural and rural affairs work, its family law services, and its professional negligence practice. In the Legal 500, the firm maintained its tier 1 ranking in six practice areas including real estate, dispute resolution, business immigration and corporate.
Paul Rice, Wright Hassall’s Senior Partner, said: “Our achievements in both the Legal 500 and Chambers’ rankings this year highlight the consistently strong work carried out by our staff across a range of sectors. It is a testament to our commitment to putting our clients at the heart of everything we do as part of our 5 Star service promise.
“We pride ourselves that, as one of the largest independent law firms in the West Midlands, we have built a client base to rival any city practice
“Such successful results in two respected guides proves that we are leading the way.”
