This year's Food and Drink Showcase in Warwickshire will be hosted at Warwick Racecourse on 7 March 2019. The event, which is hosted by Warwickshire County Council, aims to build on the quality and vibrancy of local produce and promote this to buyers from across the county and beyond.
With the diverse range of food and drink on offer countywide, producers, including breweries, cheesemakers, chocolatiers and coffee artisans have a great opportunity to connect directly with high quality visitor attractions, independent stockists, supermarkets and hotels. The event will encourage businesses to discover and use local suppliers and enable new working relationships which are mutually beneficial.
Cllr Izzi Seccombe, Leader, WCC, said: I am delighted that we are continuing to
support such important sectors as well as our Tourism and Leisure businesses in
Warwickshire. Our inaugural event in 2017 was a real success and feedback
from attendees was that they wanted to see more of these events where we are able to highlight our unique offer within the County and where we can showcase the specialist food and drink specialisms that we have.
The format will be a little different from last time, taking on board comments from
exhibitors and buyers and we anticipate this boosting the Warwickshire Food and Drink industry which plays such a key role in the local economy.
Registration is free to buyers and inexpensive for suppliers wishing to reserve one of the coveted exhibitors’ places.
