Ten businesses that have received the Small Capital Grants from Warwickshire County Council’s Capital Growth Fund, are featured in a new short film: Helping Warwickshire Grow. Between them, they are expecting to create 48 new jobs and apprenticeships.
The film was created to celebrate and promote the role of high growth businesses to the economic success of the county. According to global innovation foundation NESTA, just 6% of high growth firms are responsible for 50% of employment growth.
The film was shown at a recent event at The Old Shire Hall, Warwick, organised by the County Council to promote Warwickshire as a fantastic place to do business to significant regional influencers. 69 people attended the event representing a wide selection of businesses from across the county, with key note speeches from Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands and Chair of the West Midlands Combined Authority; and Cllr Izzi Seccombe, Leader of Warwickshire County Council.
