Trading under the new name of ehB Reeves, the new firm will continue to provide a comprehensive range of commercial property solutions across the West Midlands with a growing management portfolio valued in excess of £100 million.
Initially, the two businesses will continue to operate independently, with ehB trading from its current premises in Leamington Spa’s Clarendon Place, and Reeves will remain at its base in the town’s Euston Place. The longer-term plan is to relocate both businesses and comprehensive services portfolio to one location in the centre of Leamington.
Stratford upon Avon law firm Lodders provided ehB Commercial Limited with advice on the deal, with a team led by the head of its company and commercial practice in the town, Kim Klahn, who explains:
“We worked with the team at ehB Commercial, providing advice on the purchase of Reeves & Partners Limited. Director Stuart Gregory and MD Richard Pomfret will continue to work with ehB Reeves - Richard as a consultant and Stuart becomes an equal shareholder alongside Simon Hain, Nick Evans and Scott Blake.
“The property management market is buoyant in the Midlands, so now is the perfect time for both established firms to join forces and to expand in this arena.”
Kim, who became head of Lodders’ company and commercial practice at its Stratford office last month, adds: “For Lodders, the deal typifies the type of transaction we are increasingly busy working on for local privately-owned, ambitious businesses, and capitalised on the strengths and legal expertise of several of our team to deliver an excellent conclusion and outcome for all parties.”
Scott Blake, Director of the new firm ehB Reeves, comments: “Having worked with Lodders previously on commercial property matters, it was great to have the benefit of Kim’s experience regarding the merger and her support to coordinate all matters with our accountants at HB&O, so that a successful conclusion was achieved.”
