Leading Midlands law firm Wright Hassall took part in the Tour De Law challenge which involved a string of major national law firms competing in a static cycle race from London to Paris and back over two days.
Around 90 of the team from Wright Hassall took part and the company finished in the top half contributing to an overall total of in excess of £60,000 For Breast Cancer Care.
The Tour De Law is an annual indoor cycling competition open to all UK law firms to compete with each other. Team cyclists are allowed to cycle for 15-minute slots before passing the saddle over to somebody else.
Jeremy Hyde, a solicitor at Wright Hassall, organised the firm’s involvement and also recorded the second-best result among the home team.
Jeremy said: “It was a real team effort. We filled 90 slots across the two days and had people who had never been on a static bike, through to seasoned cyclists but everyone gave their all for a very good cause.
“Not only does the event raise a great deal of money across the country it really brings everyone together for a common goal and is great fun. We had our two static bikes in our reception area and we had visitors and staff cheering us on.”
