This is fine if the activity concerned does not play a strategic role in business survival and success, such as subscriptions for magazines that go un-read or memberships that are not utilised. However our ‘fight, flight or freeze’ response can make us blind to the impacts of stopping activities that are a pivotal part of our business operation. For instance networking costs or exhibition fees from where a prospect database is built and leads generated.
This is why we are strong advocates of maintaining marketing and growth plans in turbulent times. There is plenty of research to show that those that do not only fair better during difficult times but also embark on better times in a far stronger position than those that blindly cease these activities.
We are not saying that costs shouldn’t be cut but we are saying is that those business sustaining activities need to carry on whether that be with slimmer budgets or ingeniously where investment in them is not possible.
If you want to keep on marketing and carry on growing then the workshop day Chamber members Leask Accountancy Solutions and Glued are running on Tuesday 9th July will be just the thing to keep your focus on those things that will keep your business strong during and as we come out of difficult times.
We’ll cover the key areas in your business that you can influence and the strategies you can adopt to achieve growth and improvement.
Attend both or either workshop being held at The Warehouse, Oxford Street, Leamington Spa by visiting the Eventbrite page for the event CLICK HERE. We’ll be sure to keep you sustained with refreshments during your time with us.
