Ian McKinney of Gallagher said: “We want to be engaged in the region and being able to invite some of our professional services colleagues who work in Coventry & Warwickshire to Wasps Rugby is a fantastic opportunity for us to cement our place in the region. Gallagher’s overall mission is to be the ‘go-to’ insurance broker and risk consultant in the communities in which we operate and we see Coventry & Warwickshire as very much a key community for us. As the only multinational, multiservice insurance & risk firm in the region, we are perfectly positioned to provide the advanced technical advice on risk, and the wide range of services, that many businesses in the region need.”
Ian also highlighted the additional opportunities provided by Gallagher’s Title Partnership with Wasps Rugby. He commented: “Being the Title Partner of Premiership Rugby has been wonderful for Gallagher and it allows us to provide hospitality to clients and contacts such as today, but also allows us to take part in the community with Wasps. We are very keen to do what we can to showcase Coventry & Warwickshire, and to contribute to the region. For example, it was wonderful for us that we were able to invite children from Romero Academy in early January to be Mascots and Flag bearers at the Ricoh Arena. We are looking forward to many more opportunities like that, and like today’s game, where we have been able to build our relationships with fellow professionals in the region.”
Unfortunately the game itself did not go to plan, with Newcastle Falcons scoring a penalty in the last minute of the game to take the spoils in a very close and hard-fought match. However, despite the result, it is hoped this Gallagher ‘Professionals Day’ will become an annual event and that the score might be more acceptable in future years!
