NatWest’s start-up programmes provide entrepreneurs at 12 hubs across the UK with funding, free office space and advice to help develop their ideas and grow new businesses. After several successful accountancy training sessions at the Birmingham and London hubs, DSL were invited to become official mentors for the programme.
DSL’s Director Andy Revell said:
“It’s so important for new companies to get the basic building blocks of accounting right from the beginning - because getting things in order later can be a nightmare. By providing these new and exciting businesses with the essentials now, we hope to set them up for success”.
He added that:
“Being invited by NatWest to become an official accountancy mentor is a huge commendation for our dedicated teams. Through our training sessions we aim to demystify accounting and give business owners the tools to really understand accountancy best practice”.
As accounting mentors, DSL will be on hand to provide guidance on financial records management, VAT registration, cash flow, budgeting and much more. The Warwickshire based business has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most trusted small business accountancy firms over the past 20 years and is an accredited Xero, QuickBooks & Receipt Bank partner.
NatWest’s accelerator is the biggest incubator programme of its kind in the UK, with up to 5,000 start-ups passing through its 6-18-month programmes each year.
