Jaymie Thakordas, Sarah Gambrall, Sarah Pagan and Gavin Barnett will take on the popular race on March 24th and are looking to raise as much as possible for a variety of good causes as a team.
Mental health charity Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, baby hospice Zoë’s Place, Coventry Haven Women’s Aid and Grapevine, which helps people in isolation, will all benefit from the group’s efforts.
The Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub was established in 2014 and works with businesses across the region offering information, advice and support to help them grow, sponsored by the Growth Hub Business Solutions which is part of the CWLEP Growth Hub.
Jaymie Thakordas, Business Mentor and Account Manager, said: “We really wanted to support the vital work that our chosen charities do for our community and set ourselves the task of completing the Coventry Half Marathon to help us raise money.
“We have covered quite a far reaching range of causes, with each charity carefully chosen due to the incredible work they do help those in need.
“As a team, we are excited to take on the challenge of the Coventry Half Marathon and are training hard to get ourselves a respectable time.”
The team are also taking on the challenge as part of the Growth Hub’s activity around Coventry’s 2019 Year of Wellbeing project, led by the Coventry and Warwickshire Place Forum.
Sarah Gambrall, Business Navigator at the Growth Hub, said: “Running the Coventry Half Marathon is a great opportunity for us to bond as a team and also take some time to focus on our health and wellbeing.
“It is something that can easily be neglected but if you work on it, it improves every facet of your life, from business to personal.”
Coventry Half Marathon will start from Jordan Well at 8:30am on race day, with entries still being taken.
