Coventry and Warwickshire PA Forum is officially launched

The Coventry and Warwickshire PA Forum has been officially launched at Coombe Abbey Hotel.

Its inaugural event proved a huge success with 60 PAs and executive assistants from across a range of sectors turning out to find out more and support the launch.

The aim of the forum is to be educational, inspirational and aspirational, helping to build contacts and give PAs a network that they can work with.

Daniel Skermer, founded the Birmingham PA Forum back in 2016, and decided that he needed to branch out into other areas when PAs from across Coventry and Warwickshire started attending Birmingham meetings.

He said: “Our Birmingham branch has gone from strength to strength and we now have 450 members, have our own awards scheme and our Learning and Development Conference as well.

“But we found that more and more people were coming from the Coventry and Warwickshire area, so there was an obvious need for something in the region.

“That led us to form the Coventry and Warwickshire PA Forum and have it’s own dedicated committee to help organise events.”

The committee is made up of Hannah Smith from Designated PA, Linda Leggett from McKesson, Julie Budd from Galliford Try and Tracy Whitehouse from Aston University.

Daniel added: “We’ve had some fantastic support so far, including from the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Coombe Abbey Hotel.

“Now we want to make sure the forum is informative and provide as much support as possible to our members.”

The next Coventry and Warwickshire PA Forum event has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 3 with a location to be confirmed.

Ron Terry, general manager of Coombe Abbey Hotel, said: “The Coventry and Warwickshire PA Forum looks set to become a vital service for Personal Assistants across the region.

“We were only too pleased to be able to assist with the launch and I am glad that is proved a success for everyone involved.

“Coombe Abbey Hotel boasts 11 rooms, which are ideal for conferences, meetings and corporate entertainment. Each room is rich with history, and complete with modern day conference facilities, making them perfect for any business looking to impress and inspire their guests.”
