The University of Warwick’s award-winning conference, meeting and events organisation hosted 18,000 events during 2018.
Clients came from all corners of the UK and beyond, but now the focus is on increasing business within a 30-mile radius – starting with an offer for Chamber members.
Paul Bartlett, Head of Sales at Warwick Conferences, said that “doorstep business” is often harder to drive.
“Warwick Conferences and the University of Warwick are known internationally and both have a very high reputation, but we want to ensure that businesses in the region are fully aware of what we have to offer.
“Quite often local businesses have attended large-scale events at our bigger spaces such as The Slate, Scarman and Radcliffe so that is the only Warwick Conferences offer they know.
“But we have more than 80 small meeting spaces which can cater for between two and 20 people. They range from standard spaces which can service customers really well for small face-to-face meetings or hot desking, right through to those which are designed to inspire creativity.”
The four creative spaces include two set up as kitchens, with all the facilities needed for meetings including screens and audio-visual equipment as well as the ability to make drinks and raid the snack fridge.
The Studio has been designed to increase engagement where ideas can be written on the chalkboard wall, while the Living Space has armchairs and sofas for more informal sessions.
Bartlett added: “We have hosted some events for the Chamber and we work very closely with their team so thought it would be good to appeal to members as well.”
Warwick Conferences is offering Chamber members 10% discount on day and 24-hour packages before July 31. Members should contact 024 7652 3222 [email protected]
