Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Digital Transformation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall implementation and delivery of the companies IT Strategy across both of our businesses. These main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Microsoft Office 365 - Oversee the deployment and maintenance of the full range of Microsoft Office 365 services across the Chamber Group which includes Sharepoint, OneDrive, Teams, OneNote and Microsoft Exchange, ensuring a smooth Windows environment.
- Contracts Management – This role will be responsible for reviewing and managing the Chambers’ existing Digital/IT contracts with our external suppliers. This will include, where necessary, leading on the tendering process for the appropriate work.
- Lead on the selection and implementation of new technologies and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness across our multi-functional teams, working alongside our Senior Management team and making recommendations to our Executive Team and wider Board.
- Company Website – To assist the Head of Events, Communications & Marketing Manager with the introduction of a new joint Chamber of Commerce Website. As part of this role, this person will be responsible for liaising with third party Marketing developers, as well as supporting with tender opportunities, with the aim to deliver the best digital experience through our new website.
- Project managing the design and overall operation of all new & existing IT systems, including software, hardware, networks and telecommunications.
- Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the current state of the company’s existing systems and assisting in the design, development, and implementation of new ways of working. I;e the Company website and its CRM Systems.
- Establishing key relationships with our external suppliers to ensure that there are continuous effective communication channels in place.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, working with the HR Manager, ensuring that the correct use of technology and data protection is in place.
- Champion cloud-based solutions and migrations, ensuring scalability, security and efficiency whilst cultivating an environment of continuous learning and development.
- Providing technical support and training to our wider staff on any new systems and processes.
- To effectively manage the IT costs and resources, ensuring that services are provided on time and within the company’s allocated budget.
- To be the internal consultant and subject matter expert on all IT delivery matters, taking best advantage of industry good practice and emerging trends.
- To ultimately shape the future of our technology landscape, focusing on Cyber security, AI, VOIP, and advanced communication solutions.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong, extensive knowledge and expertise of the Microsoft Office 365 functions is essential.
- Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure ideally in an SME business environment.
- Ability to communicate with end users across departments and understand digital capabilities.
- Ability to analyse workflow processes across departments and procure technology agnostic solutions.
- Ability to work with external technology providers and lead / assist on procurement and tender processes.
- The ability to support and train end users across all levels.
- Strong experience implementing and supporting CRM systems.
- Experience in designing and implementing business continuity plans.
- Flexible and responsive to constantly changing demands to prioritise and meet the needs of both Chamber businesses.
- Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to communicate complex technologies and processes in a clear and coherent way.
Desirable:
- Experience in designing and delivering a Digital Strategy.
- Experience with other business operations software, including finance systems.
- Experience in preparing and presenting business case return on investments for new technology procurement.
- Excellent communications skills when working with a variety of stakeholders.
