Trainer (Early Years Care)

Salary Band:                      £28,000 - £30,110 per annum (FTE)

Job Type:                            Permanent

Working Pattern:               Full Time (37 Hours Per Week) or Part Time

Reporting To:                    Training Manager

What we’re looking for from you

We are looking for a Trainer who can bring Early Years apprenticeship programmes to life across levels 2 to 5. You will shape and deliver a well planned curriculum that reflects apprenticeship standards and employer needs, creating high quality schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources. The role involves delivering confident and engaging training sessions, making good use of digital tools, and building a learning environment where apprentices can develop their technical skills as well as maths, English and wider professional behaviours. You will guide individuals through regular tutorials, offer clear and constructive feedback, track progress carefully and support apprentices to meet their goals within agreed timescales.

The ideal candidate will have strong competency in early years care and experience delivering vocational learning. You will be organised, proactive and able to keep content current while maintaining a high standard of teaching and assessment. The role involves working closely with employers, clients and examining bodies, marking work to national standards and motivating apprentices to achieve successful outcomes. A teaching qualification is desirable, and you must be able to drive with daily access to a vehicle.

Functional Skills Trainer

Salary Band:           £17,027- £18,243
Job Type:                Permanent
Working Pattern:     22.5 Hours per Week (3 Days), Part Time
Reporting To:          Training Manager

What we’re looking for from you…


We are looking for a Functional Skills Trainer who can design and deliver high quality learning in maths and English at levels 1 and 2. You will assess individual learning needs, create clear and personalised learning plans, and build well structured schemes of work and lesson materials. The role involves developing engaging resources, using technology effectively and delivering learning in both group and one to one settings. You will also prepare learners for assessments, support their progress through regular tutorials, and provide targeted guidance in the workplace when needed.

The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of national Functional Skills standards and experience helping learners develop these skills in a vocational environment. Strong interpersonal skills, good organisation and a commitment to high quality teaching are essential. You should be confident using IT to support learning, able to maintain accurate records and comfortable working collaboratively within a team of Trainers. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, and a driving licence with daily access to a vehicle is required.

Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator

Salary Band:           £17,027 per annum
Job Type:                Permanent
Working Pattern:     22.5 Hours per Week, Part Time (Hours Negotiable)
Reporting To:          Training Manager

What we’re looking for from you…

We are looking for a SENCO who can champion inclusive practice and lead meaningful support for apprentices with SEND. You will apply the organisation’s SEND strategy across all programmes, act as the central point of contact for internal teams and external partners, and offer clear, informed guidance to senior leaders on reasonable adjustments and effective learner support. A key part of the role is identifying learners who need additional help through assessment and onboarding, coordinating tailored support plans and ensuring these interventions have real impact. Your work will involve supporting apprentices with EHCPs, adapting provision as needs change and maintaining accurate, compliant documentation that reflects a strong focus on welfare and safeguarding.

The ideal candidate will bring experience of supporting SEND learners within further education, training or apprenticeships, along with confident knowledge of relevant legislation, funding rules and the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. You will be skilled at problem solving, communicating clearly and working in an organised and proactive way. The role also includes supporting tutors, assessors and support staff by sharing effective strategies and promoting inclusive teaching and assessment across the organisation. Experience in an apprenticeship training environment and a teaching or assessing qualification would be an advantage.
