Smartphone snappers and keen photographers are invited send in past and present photos showing “What Makes Your City Home” as part of an interactive photo exhibition to celebrate the first recorded act of twinning between Coventry and Volgograd.
Coventry residents have until Friday, October 15 to send in their photos, which if selected will be converted into one of over 300 QR codes and printed onto a giant Digital Tablecloth, which will tour both Russia and the UK in Spring 2022.
All submissions will be assessed to make sure they fit the theme of “What Makes Your City Home,” and if successful will be automatically selected for printing onto the tablecloth. Residents will receive email confirmation of accepted submissions in November.
A panel of representatives from Coventry will judge the photographs on their uniqueness, storytelling, and link to their city before selecting a final 50, which will be shared on social media and receive a souvenir from Volgograd.
Five of the most impressive photographs will then be chosen to feature alongside the main exhibition.
Entries for the Coventry x Volgograd Digital Tablecloth can be submitted online or via pop-up photo submission events taking place weekly across the city where printed photos can be scanned. Contact Roze Navab on [email protected] for more details.
