International Trade Training Courses
Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce has designed a dedicated suite of courses aimed at businesses who trade internationally or who are involved with freight forwarding. Ranging from half-day workshops on specialist subjects such as Incoterms through to full-day courses on topics such as customs compliance and AEO.
This course is aimed at individuals from businesses currently involved in exports who want a refresher on the procedures involved or for those new to export procedures who want to learn about what is involved in the process.

Free Trade Agreements
This course is aimed at individuals from businesses currently involved in imports and exports who want a better understanding of what a Free Trade Agreement is from a customs perspective, how they work, the benefits, the risks, and why even if we agree to a FTA DEAL with the EU, customs procedures will still change dramatically from the 1st January.
This course is aimed at individuals from businesses currently involved in imports and exports who want a refresher or those who due to Brexit may be new to this area of work and are keen to understand the information and data they need to manage and maintain so that they can either do customs entries themselves or provide the correct information to brokers/freight forwarders and courier companies.
This course is aimed at individuals from businesses currently involved in imports who want a refresher on the special customs procedures involved or for those new to import procedures who want to learn about why special customs procedures may become more important from Jan 2021.
Brexit- Planning Overview
This course is aimed at individuals from businesses who are currently involved in the movement of goods with the EU at import/export or both who want a better understanding of how Brexit may impact on their business regardless of whether they currently trade with Non EU countries.

This new Incoterms 2020 course will provide a comprehensive overview of the new Incoterms 2020 and the differences between the 2010 version. It will help to provide certainty and clarity to businesses trading across borders everywhere. It is important to fully understand the implications for your business as misapplication will result in damaging consequences for business.
Understanding Commodity Codes
This course is designed for anyone in the organisation who might be called upon to contribute to a correct description of goods traded internationally for both export or import declarations. This can range from complete beginners to experienced operators who feel the need to refresh their knowledge. It is also suitable for management staff whose role requires supervision or checking of sensitive Customs declarations.
Customs Declaration Training
This training course explains how to accurately complete a simple customs declaration. Whether you plan to complete customs declarations yourself or use an intermediary to do it for you, this workshop will give you the practical information to ensure the process is completed properly.
Letters of Credit and Methods of Payment

This course will provide information relating to the payment risk ladder, the importance of payment methods and letters of credit to ensure payments are received. On completion, delegates will recognise issues that can prevent payment or lead to delays when selling goods under Letters of Credit.
