Join us to celebrate International Women's Day 2025, as your Chamber brings together Women in Business from across Coventry & Warwickshire to recognise and celebrate the day.
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
This year's theme #AccelerateAction, emphasises a world that's diverse, equitable and inclusive. At the current rate of progress, it will take 134 years, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity in 2158, according to data from the World Economic Forum.
Focusing on the need to Accelerate Action emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.

Deeksha Sampath is a Technology Transfer Engineer at WMG, University of Warwick, specializing in sustainable manufacturing. With a background in mechanical engineering, she is passionate about supporting SMEs in adopting greener practices and driving innovation. Deeksha is also committed to promoting diversity in STEM and was recognized as one of the UK’s Top 50 Women in Engineering by the Women’s Engineering Society in 2024.
