Location: Commerce House, Coventry
Salary Range: £27,500 to £28,500 per annum
Aim: To plan, develop and deliver occupationally specific training and assessment in line with apprenticeship standards in business and customer service. This includes the design and delivery of training and assessment to groups and individuals as well as the diagnosis of training needs, development of individual learning plans and assessment of practice and knowledge in the workplace.
Objectives & Responsibilities:
- Plan and design curriculum, including schemes of work and lesson plans
- Development of training resources and delivery materials (presentations, handouts, interactive activities and exercises) to meet specified objectives
- Ensure that technology is deployed to best effect in the design and delivery of learning
- Deliver learning and development that is engaging, motivating and informative
- Identification of individual learning needs, preferred learning styles
- Agree individual training plans for apprentices and employers
- Liaise with employers and apprentices to deliver apprenticeship standards
- Use technology to deliver engaging learning and assessment
- Manage a caseload of apprentices in business and customer service
- Arrange off the job training to meet individual and business needs
- Review progress of apprentices
- Prepare apprentices for end point assessment
- Prepare apprentices and their employers for e-assessment using One File
- Conduct the e-assessment of apprentices in the workplace
- Provide constructive feedback to apprentices and employers
- Set and agree targets and timescales with apprentices and employers
- Contribute to team and company targets
- Identify new business opportunities
- Ensure all reasonable steps are taken regarding welfare, safety and equality of opportunity of all candidates
Skills/Knowledge:
- Assessor Award and Internal Verification Award (desirable)
- National occupational standards and relevant apprenticeship standards
- Proven experience in business administration and customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to motivate and build confidence
- Knowledge and understanding of vocational qualifications and training frameworks
- Self-motivated and committed to achieving targets to a high level of quality
- Flexible delivery and response to clients
- Well organised, able to plan workload and maintain accurate records
- Team player, co-operative
- Driving licence and access to vehicle on a daily basis
- IT skills
