UKs largest alternative provider of wholesale fibre network infrastructure and the builder of Gigabit Cities
15 Bedford Street
CityFibre is the UK’s leading alternative provider of wholesale full fibre network infrastructure. With major fibre infrastructure projects across 50+ towns and cities throughout the UK, we provide a portfolio of active and dark fibre services to our customers which include service integrators, enterprise and consumer service providers, local authorities and mobile operators.
Full fibre connectivity is revered for its gigabit speeds, near unlimited bandwidth and consistent reliability. CityFibre is making significant investments in a number of cities across the UK as we look to rapidly expand the number of homes and businesses which have access to full fibre. CityFibre has recently partnered with Vodafone to bring Gigabit-capable full fibre broadband to up to one million UK homes and businesses by 2021 and is targeting five million by 2025. This commitment has been reinforced by a £2.5bn investment programme which identifies 37 towns and cities which are primed for FTTP expansion.
CityFibre is based in London, United Kingdom, and is privately owned by a consortium of Antin Infrastructure Partners and West Street Infrastructure Partners.
As well as the instantaneous benefits of faster browsing and network transfer speeds, there are the longer-term advantages of enabling us and the other businesses here to grow and achieve their potential.
Tim Coleman, Station Manager at Radio Plus
An investment of this size shows great confidence in the city and having a reliable, gigabit broadband service will be another way to attract and retain businesses to Coventry. With the growing importance and reliance on digital technology, the opportunity of having the benefits of full fibre will soon be available to everyone who lives and works in our city.
Cllr Jim O’Boyle, Coventry City Council’s Cabinet Member for Jobs and Regeneration
Fast internet is vital for a modern economy. Businesses need to communicate quickly and share data around the world. But in the West Midlands we have a mixed picture, with some of the fastest speeds and some of the slowest. I made working with the private sector to drive up broadband speeds a priority and am really pleased that Coventry is to become the focus of the next Vodafone and CityFibre roll-out
Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands
